Reflections On Firecracker 400

Another good race – and great finish- is in the can.

Unless you were on line or maybe listening to the radio, it wasn’t until lap 73, when TNT put up a graphic of lap leaders (plus some deductive reasoning), that we learned definitively who led the first lap.

We also were treated to another version (what is it now – #5?) of Nascar’s yellow line rule.

Regrettably I can’t put my finger on why, but this Daytona 400 seemed quite unlike a normal Daytona race. Got any ideas?
