Reflections On The Brickyard

Another race is in the can.

That’s what I’ll call a Pete Barbutti race – a long way to go for a punch line.

I’ll concede everything’s wonderful about Indy. Everything but the racing.

If your thing is watching a wagon train cross Nebraska, this place is for you.

The ESPN crew did a fine job and was insightful. (Once you get past the baseless hype of stock cars running at Indy).

Does it seem like every time announcers mention “the greatest drivers in the world”, one or more of them makes what appears to be an amateurish move?

Let’s go on to Pocono. Quick.
