It is beyond my ken why Nascar continues to prefer ( and has for many years ) the racing off pit road be more important than the racing on the track. They must, or they would have fixed it by now.
Well, maybe not. They also haven’t been able to figure out how to conduct a proper restart. It’s kind of like the FCC and Congress. For about 50 years they’ve been futilely passing laws to prevent broadcasters from making their commercials annoyingly louder than the programming. The stations just ignore them – probably with a chuckle – just like the drivers wink at Nascar’s rules.
