Another great race is in the can.
Some of my azaleas are blooming. Birds are chirping like crazy. 17 year cicadas are champing at the bit. I’m thinking Augusta. But no. I saw the masters at work last Sunday at Martinsville. Man, these guys are good.
The racing was so good it nullified Nascar‘s propensity to apply the rules haphazardly. (Or is that part of the genius of Nascar?)
Here’s your “March Madness”: NCAA finals in April, and baseball opening day in March. What’s up with that?
I don’t believe there have ever been so many cars, drivers, teams this competitive in the history of Nascar. In the previous “hay day” of the sport, there were a handful (or fewer) of drivers that that were likely to win. Today, there may be a couple dozen you can’t count out.
Dateline 4.4.11: Mark Martin wants to “Just be remembered”. Hopefully it’s on a higher note than Mr. Favre.
PS: I see Google is planning to bring its high speed internet to Kansas City. If only they could bring good high speed racing to KC.
